Mangaluru: Bajrang Dal Activist gheraoed Congress leader Ivan D’Souza’s residence at Valencia here on Wednesday October 20 condemning his recent comments on Saffron colour and shawl.
Congress leader’s remarks that people wearing saffron shawl were terrorists irked the activists. As a mark of retaliation, the agitated activists condemning the Congress leader’s remarks on saffron colour tried to barge into his house, and also demanded him to apologise for his comments. However, the alert police officials detained the activists, immediately.
It is said that the activists were all set to colour him saffron by barging into his house. The detained activists were taken to nearby Pandeshwar Police Station.
