Bantwal: Honesty has never been dictated by birth, class, caste or creed. It is a value which only pure hearts treasure and in one such acts which manifested this supreme human quality, Hameed and Shiv Kumar from Balthila village here have set a beautiful example for others to emulate.

On November 13, Hameed finds a plastic bag with an object wrapped in paper inside it. The object weighed close to 500 gms. When he opened the pack, he found gold ornaments. Shocked by the same, when Hameed closely observed the ornaments, he noticed that the gold ornaments had motifs resembling Serpent gods embossed on them. Without any delay, Hameed rushed to Shiv Kumar, Balthila GP Member and handed over the gold.

The duo rushed to Bantwal City police station and urged the police to do the needful.

Meanwhile, on Monday a person named Narasimha Prabhu filed a complaint at Panemangaluru with regard to his ornaments going missing. Confirming that gold weighing 390gms belonged to Narasimha Prabhu, the local police on Tuesday called upon Hameed and Shiv Kumar and made sure that the gold was handed over to the owner of the gold by them.
