Mangaluru: In a tragic accident, beautician and proprietor of Prishma Beauty Parlour in Kavoor, Priya Suvarna (42) died on Wednesday, November 27.
According to sources, the accident occurred near Hotel BMS in Kuntikan when Priya, who was returning to her home in Kavoor on her two-wheeler, was hit by a tipper.
She was thrown off the vehicle due to the impact of the collision, resulting in serious injuries.
She was rushed to a nearby hospital as she was bleeding profusely. However, she died without responding to the treatment.
Sources say that the tipper driver was drunk and the mishap was caused due to his negligence.
Meanwhile, the tipper driver who has escaped from the accident spot was later nabbed by police near Kudremukh.
A case in relation to the accident has been filed at the Traffic Police Station, Pandehswar.
According to reports, Priya was an active member of the Kaveri Lions Club. She was also the treasurer of the Mangalore Ladies’ Beauty Association.
She is survived by husband, daughter and son.
