This alleged assault has happened a day after more than 50 miscreants of Sangh Parivar allegedly assaulting two people from the minority community in Belthangady of the district. The alleged assault by the Sangh Parivar in the populated area Pumpwell has now posed a challenge to the police department and the peace-loving people in the district, they added in a press release.

PFI alleged that the miscreants of Sangh Parivar have been indulging in gang violence in the district without any fear of law. Despite alleged vile assault using stones and sticks, lodging a case under weak section against the culprits in Belthangady incident will only indirectly help such miscreants gain more power, PFI said in a release and demanded the police to take stern action against the miscreants of the Sangh Parivar who are trying to disturb the harmony of the district. Through the release, Popular Front of India, Dakshina Kannada president
