Bizman succumbs after gang attacks him with lethal weapons in Mulki

Mangaluru: A 36-year-old businessman was brutally murdered by a group of miscreants at Mulki on Friday, June 5.

The victim has been identified as Abdul Latheef, son-in-law of Muneer Karnad, who is also a businessman.

According to police sources, the victim and his uncle, Muneer Karnad had been to Mulki in a car on Friday evening. That is when a group of miscreants surrounded their car, dragged Abdul Latheef out attacked him with lethal weapons.

Despite all his attempts to escape, Latheef was unable to save himself and the group assaulted him multiple times and sped away, leaving him in a pool of blood. He was rushed to a private hospital in the city, however, the doctors at the hospital informed that he was brought dead.

Latheef owned a jewellery shop at Moodbidri and had recently married Muneer Karnad’s daughter. It is said that an old rivalry was the motive for the brutal murder.

The Mulki Police have registered a case in this regard and an investigating is underway.
