Mangaluru: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday January 3 raided the house of B. M. Basha, son of Former Ullal MLA late B. M. Idinabba, and arrested his daughter-in-law Deepthi Marla alias Mariam for suspected ISIS links.

A team led by Krishna Kumar, Deputy Superintendent of Police,, Assistant Investigating Officer, NIA, Delhi arrested Mariam.

It can be recalled here that NIA officials had earlier raided the house of Basha in August 2021, and arrested Ammar Abdul Rehman, another son of Basha. Then too there was a suspicion on Mariam’s ISIS links, which remained unsubstantiated and she had not been held.
