Mangaluru: Buntara alias Nadavara Sangha felicitated 12 Bunt corporators who elected in the recent MCC election, on Tuesday evening at the Sri Ramakrishna College grounds in the city.
Sangha President Ajith Kumar Rai Malady honoured the corporators. MLA Bharath Shetty, former MLC Monappa Bhandary and former MLA Vijay Kumar Shetty were the chief guests.
Addressing the gathering MLA Bharath Shetty called upon all the corporators to work unitedly for the development of Mangaluru City, keeping aside their political differences. “There is no way that people will not recognise good work. We all have to strive for that recognition. May this felicitation become an incentive for all of us to work harder,” he said.
Vijay Kumar Shetty and Monappa Bhandary too called upon the corporators to work sincerely for the cause of the people.
Ajith Kumar Rai Malady delivered the keynote address.
Office-bearers of the Sangha were present.
