Manchi: In a shocking incident, a dead body that was buried in a laterite stone quarry showed up on Sunday evening at Kadanthabettu of Manchi village, here.
The body of an unidentified person was first spotted by a local who had been to the forest to find pasture for his cattle. What grabbed his attention was a pack of dogs pouncing on something on the ground. When he went closer, he found that the dogs were digging out a dead body of a human being. He informed the locals and the police was intimated immediately.
The police say that the body must have been buried about three months ago. Since only the skull was out and since it was getting dark, the police decided to exhume the body on Monday morning. Many are suspecting possibility of someone having killed the unidentified person and then burying the body here as it is a secluded area.
