Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh releases invitations of “Samudayotsava 2020”

Udupi: Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh ® will be organizing the Udupi diocese level “Samudayotsav 2020” at Mount Rosary Church Campus on January 19, 2020. The invitation Cards of the Samudayotsav 2020 was released in the Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh Office Hall at Bishops House, here on Thursday, December 12.

The invitation cards were released by Rev Fr. Dr. Leslie D’Souza parish priest of Mount Rosary Church and he said after the release that there are plenty of opportunities to bring changes in the society. We can make many positive changes to changes in our society as well.

Fr Dr. Leslie said that God has given special talents to each and every one. However, there is a need to use our talents to better use. The Samudayotsava 2020 would provide such an opportunity to the community.

He said that he hopes that through various programmes on the occasion of Samudayotsava 2020 which able to manifest its unity and spread spirit of harmony and cooperation in the society at large.

During the Samudayotsava 2020, those who with lifetime achievements will be honored as well as those children who have commendable achievements outside the Udupi diocese also will be honored. Eleven poor students of the Christian community will be provided financial help to continue their future education by the Samudaya Seva Trust. Meanwhile, the problems faced by the Christian community and future course of action will be debated.

Walter Cyril Pinto President of Samudaya Seva Trust and former President of Catholic Sabha Mangaluru Pradesh said that though the fundamental aim of the Samudayotsava 2020 is to unify the Christian community. Whatever surplus amount from donations collected for this purpose will be utilized for assisting the needy students for education and assisting for health care and housing also.

Dion D’Souza President of ICYM, Udupi Diocese committee and Pramila D’Sa President of Sthree Sangaton were the guests of honor during the programme.

Alwyn Quadros President of Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh Central Committee, Secretary Santhosh Cornelio, Valerian Fernandes Immediate Past President, former President of Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh Alphonse D’Costa, Dr. Gerald Pinto Niddodi, Walter Cyril Pinto and others were present.

Earlier, Alwyn Quadros welcomed the gathering. Santhosh Cornelio proposed a vote of thanks.
