Mangaluru: The City Crime Branch (CCB) police arrested 13 persons for gambling at Kuloor and seized cash of Rs 16,800 and cards which were being used for the on Monday, October 29.
The arrested have been identified as Nithyananda Shetty, Sujay N Shetty, Lancy D’Souza, Karthik Dinesh Anchan, Raghu N K, Avinash, Mahesh Kumar Shetty, Deekshith Kumar, Ganesh Kumar, Deepak Shetty, Mohammed Musthafa, Koushik Gowda and Mohammed Haneef. However, another accused escaped from the spot.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of CCB police headed by Inspector Shantharam and inspectors Shyam Sundar and H D Kabbal Raj had been to Kuloor where they found a group of youth involved in gambling and arrested the 13 persons. The arrested have been handed over to Kavoor Police Station for further investigation, police sources said.
A case has been registered at Kavoor Police Station in this regard.
