Sullia: “The Central government is working in favour of capitalists. Prime Minister Modi is only giving speeches and touring foreign countries which in any sense does not benefit the common man and the country but only the capitalists are getting richer,” said District In-charge Minister B Ramanath Rai here on October 7 during Parivarthana rally in Sullia.

Rai said, “Modi government’s note ban affected the common man and now through the new GST reform, Centre is looting the country. The common man did not benefit from the much-campaigned Jan Dhan scheme too. Due to weak economic policy of the Centre, people are in distress and Modi government has failed to keep up its promises.”

He further said, “Siddaramaiah government has fulfilled 95 percent of the promises announced in the budget. Our government has distributed title deeds to the needy through 94 c, 94 cc schemes and it has reached out to all the sections of the society through Anna Bhagya, Mathru Poorna and other schemes.

Central government is hesitating to waive off farm loans but it has reached out to industrialists, he alleged. But Karnataka government has waived off agricultural loans and it has come to farmer’s aid when they are in distress, he added.
