Coast Guard conducts free medical camp for common folk

Mangaluru: The Coast Guard Karnataka, along with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) and KMC Hospital conducted a free medical camp at the District Headquarter Panambur on February 26, exclusively for the benefit of the common folk including truck drivers, port users, beach users and other passers-by. The camp was inaugurated by DIG S S Dasila, TM, Coast Guard Commander Karnataka. The occasion was also graced by C H Vinod, Territory Manager, BPCL.

A team of doctors and supporting staff from KMC Hospital headed by Dr. N Vamsi Krishna Reddy, Dr. Dhruv Gupta, Dr. Sumiya Noor Mohd Anver (from Sri Lanka) and Dr. Khyati, carried out various medical check-ups for the general public which included Blood Pressure, Random Blood Sugar, Ortho, ENT and Eye checks. Reading Glasses were also distributed for free to the needy after initial check-up. The camp proved to be a great success and benefitted more than 50 people.

The Coast Guard Commander, Karnataka expressed gratitude to the officials from BPCL and the medical staff from KMC Hosptal for arranging the camp.
