Mangaluru: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee spokesperson Venkappa Gowda on Saturday said that BJP has no issues to raise against the Congress government hence they have been making baseless allegations against State minister Vinay Kulkarni.
Addressing a press meet at the district Congress Office on November 25, Harish Kumar said, “BJP cannot tolerate the development works done by the Congress government for the last 4.5 years. Hence they are levelling such baseless allegations against the Congress leaders.”
He also challenged the BJP leaders to participate in debate on developmental works of the Congress government. “Already a case has been registered against Kulkarni and case is in the court. But the BJP wants to politicize the issue,” he added.
BJP is holding a protest as per the direction of its National President. When Congress was in the power at center it had not taxed areca and agricultural products. But BJP led union government has imposed 5%GST and put farmers into trouble, he added.
