Mangaluru: The Second Additional FTSC District Sessions Court in the City has acquitted a man accused of raping a minor after the DNA report revealed no relation between the girl’s child and the man.
The acquitted Akshat was alleged of sexually assaulting the girl at her residence in Ashoknagar, Dharmasthala in 2019, resulting in her pregnancy. Following a complaint, the police had registered a case under section 376 of the POCSO Act and other provisions of IPC.
However, now the DNA report has stated otherwise leading to the acquittal of Akshat by the court.
