Mangaluru: A 60-year-old woman from Ullal, Kotepura succumbed to Covid-19 today, June 29. With this, the total number of deaths pertaining to Covid-19 in Dakshina Kannada district has now reached 14.
The deaths are picking up pace with two reported yesterday. However, co-morbidities played a role in today’s fatality.
The deceased woman was suffering from diabetes and respiratory issues and she was being treated at a private hospital in Deralakatte.
As her throat swabs tested positive for Covid-19, she was shifted to Wenlock Hospital yesterday, June 28. She died in the wee hours of Monday as she did not respond to treatment, sources said.
