Mangaluru: As the whole country has been asked to observe a complete lockdown to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the Mangaluru Press Club has decided not to hold any press conferences till April 14.
Earlier, when section 144 was clamped on the Dakshina Kannada district until March 31, the Press Club had decided not to hold press conferences in Patrika Bhavan till March 31. Later, Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked the public to follow strict lockdown for 21 days (from March 25 to April 14).
In a press release, Press Club general secretary Mohammed Arif Padubidri informed that no press conferences will be held at the Patrika Bhavan till April 14 and that further decision on holding press conferences will be taken after April 15.
