Mangaluru: Dr. Kishore Kumar, the Dakshina Kannada District Health and Family Welfare Officer, stated that the ‘Mane Manege Lasika mitra’ programme, which includes house-to-house visits to identify people who have received the first dose of vaccination but have yet to receive the second dose, will be launched on November 10.
He was addressing during the vaccination campaign’s preparatory meeting, which was held on Monday November 7, at the City Corporation’s Covid war room.
He stated that, in addition to the City Corporation and the Health and Welfare Department, volunteers from Mangaluru University’s National Service Scheme (NSS) had teamed up. He said that the teams will go to the houses of beneficiaries who have yet to receive the second dose and explain the necessity of vaccination to them. He stated that it is proposed that the district become 100 per cent Covid vaccine compliance.
Dr. Kishore Kumar urged people to cooperate with NSS volunteers during house-to-house visits and to work together to make the vaccination campaign a success.

Ulepady, Taluk Health Officer Dr. Sujay, Mangaluru University NSS coordinator Dr. Nagaratna and NSS unit coordinators within the City were present at the meeting.
