Mangaluru: KIOCL Limited, a Central Government Public Sector Enterprise, has always kept its social objectives in the first place as a responsible Corporate Company, under its Corporate Social Responsibility and has been serving Society, in various fronts/areas like construction/renovation of school buildings/annexes, toilets/bathrooms, Community halls, roads and pathways, area development, providing hygienic water for drinking purposes, construction of houses for economically backward persons, medical support for the needy people for their major health problems, education support for economically backward students etc. besides providing furniture and Lab. Items/materials and Education aids like Computers etc. to many rural and urban Govt. schools and Colleges in Dakshina Kannada District. KIOCL donated higher capacity Oxygen Plants, Ambulance vehicles, Oxygen Ventilators, to District Administration/District Health Authorities, Mangalore, during COVID-19 Pandemic periods and also distributed food-grain kits, Face-masks, essential Medicines etc. to nearby local and migrated residents in Mangalore areas. Also, the motto of Swachh Bharath, – Swasth Bharath, which contribute to the economic growth of our Nation and hence, apart from the normal cleaning, the Abhiyan at KIOCL Ltd., has strived to organize several constructive programmes both in and out of our KIOCL premises.
On 31.03.2022, a CSR and Swachh Bharath function was held at Nehru Bhavan, KIOCL Township, Kavoor, Mangalore, for donating the various items/materials, sanctioned under CSR programme/activity for the year 2021-22, to different Institutions and Organisations. Sri T. Saminathan, CMD, Sri SK Gorai, Director (Finance), Sri KV Bhaskara Reddy, Director (P&P) and Senior Officers of the Company as well as representatives of different Institutions/Organisations were present, on the occasion.
During the programme, the following Institutions/ Organisations have been donated the items/materials, as per sanctioned CSR-2022 budget, for Mangalore unit of KIOCL Ltd. e Govt. High School, Machina, DK District — donated Furniture e DKZP Govt. Higher Primary School, Kodange, Bantwal — donated Furniture e DKZP Higher Primary School, Kavoor, Mangalore.
Donated LCD Projector e DKZP Higher Primary School, Murulya, Sulia — donated LCD Projector & Water Purifier e Govt. High School, Mucchuru, DK District — donated Computers e DKZP Govt. Hr. Pry. School, Kenjar — Water Purifier, Lab Items & Toiletries. e Vidyarthi Mitra distribution for students sponsored to Vijayavani e E-Paper sponsored to Prajavani (Deccan Herald) * School Bags / Hygiene Kit to Tannirbhavi Govt. School * Hygiene kit to Govt Junior College, Kavoor * Incinerator to Women’s Polytechnic and Kavoor Govt. College
