Mangaluru: In an effort to collect funds for the education of students from poor financial background, the Daivik Amrith Trust, Mangaluru is organising a musical ballet ‘Maa Tujme Pranaam’ in Hindi language, on the life of Mother Theresa at the open grounds in Holy Cross Church, Cordel, Kulshekar on March 17 at around 6.30 PM.
Informing about the scheduled programme, Daivik Amrith Trust Managing Trustee Rev. Fr. Andrew D’Souza told reporters at Patrika Bhavan on Friday, March 15, that the Trust has been helping the poor students in higher education and doing charity works for poor patients. The scheduled sound and light programme at Kulashekar will be enacted by Sangeeth Abhinay Academy, Mumbai. Msgr. Maxim Noronha, the Vicar General of Mangaluru Diocese will be inaugurating the programme and Rev. Fr. Victor Machado, Parish Priest of Cordel will be the chief guest. Meanwhile, a book written by J V Dmello ‘Bhangara Khanas’ will be released on the occasion. Around 4,000 people are expected to participate in the programme”, he said.
Daivik Amrith Trust, headed by Rev. Fr. Andrew D’Souza has been functioning for the last 13 years with Daivik Amrith Publications, Daivik Amrith Konkani Monthly, Daivik Amrith Pilgrimages, conducting tours to holy places and Daivik Amrith Media doing television programmes regularly on ‘Divine Word’ channel.
Programme convener Henbert Pinto, Trust General Manager Santhosh Alwyn Lobo and Daivik Amrith Committee member Stanly Bantwal were present.
