Mangaluru: As per the district health bulletin, Dakshina Kannada on Saturday October 2 reported 100 new Covid cases, taking the total number of positive cases in the district to 1,14,488 out of which 920 are currently active.
A total of 18,83,125 samples have been tested so far, out of which 17,68,637 have turned out to be negative.
DK administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authority. So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,06,86,670 as fine in 87,939 incidents of mask violation.
