Mangaluru: According to the district health bulletin, Dakshina Kannada on Thursday September 16 reported 186 new Covid cases. With this, the total number of positive cases in the district has risen to 1,12,836 out of which 1,430 are currently active.
The death in the district on Thursday is two and total so far stands at 1,626. The case positivity rate for the district stands at 1.65%.
A total of 17,20,346 samples have been tested so far, out of which 16,07,510 have turned out to be negative.
DK administration has collected Rs 1,06,11,770 in fines for 87,191 mask violations.
