Kasaragod: A man was arrested by the Excise officials and seized Rs 13 lakh cash from his possession. The seized cash is said to be in demonetised notes.
The arrested has been identified as Dhanraj (40). Sources said that the money was being transported towards Kannur by bus.
The excise officials seized the cash during a routine check at Manjeshwar. It is learnt that, Dhanraj revealed he was taking the money from Mumbai to Kannur from his gold business. Manjeshwar police are looking into the case.
