Bantwal: Defending Hindu Jagran Vedike leader Rathnkar Shetty, against whom an extradition order was issued by DC Sasikanth Senthil, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel on Saturday alleged that district-in-charge minister Ramanath Rai was behind the same.

Addressing a press meet at BJP office in BC Road, Nalin Kumar said that despite all cases against Rathnakar Shetty having been dropped, his extradition order has been passed. They should have appealed to the court, if he was a criminal. In the Taluk, there are many people who have several criminal cases against them, will they too be extradited from the district, he questioned.

“Even Ramanath Rai is involved in anti-Hindu policies like CM Siddaramaiah. As the state is gearing up for elections, Ramanath Rai has started to appease minorities and use the police to curb the voice of Hindus. Though Keshava of Veerakammba was attacked, police haven’t traced the miscreants. The police department should reveal the status of the case”, Nalin Kumar demanded alleging that drug mafia behind the violence reported in the region.

Former MLA Padmanabha Kottary, Rajesh Naik and others were present during the press meet.
