‘Face to Face’ interactive session with multi-lingual writer Monica Mathias

Mangaluru: Arso – Konkani Fortnightly in association with ‘Poetics’ have jointly organised “Face to Face” a literary interaction with multilingual writer Monica Mathias, who originally hails from Shanthipura, Pamboor and now a resident of Dublin, Ireland, on Friday, December 23rd at 7 pm.

The programme is being held at Suma Sadana Bhavan, Mallikatte and the interaction will moderated by poet Wilson Kateel, who heads the poetics group and is also the Executive Editor of “Arso”. On this occasion the special edition of Arso 2016 will be released by Surendra S Wagle, Resident Editor of “Vijayavani” Kannada daily, Mangaluru Edition. Versatile singer, Actor, NRI Entrepuener Joseph Mathias will be the chief guest on this occasion.

Monica Mathias, with a pen name Monica, Shanthipura, had written more than 100 short stories in Konkani, Kannada and Hindi between 1995 and 2002. She had taken a break from literary work in between and made a comeback to creative writing two years back through kittall.com, a premier Konkani literary website edited and published by H M Pernal. She has also made a mark as a poetess. She is coming to India after a gap of three years and the interactive session will deal with her ‘life and literature’
