Fifth annual Mangaluru Kambala, a two-day event ends

Mangaluru: The fifth annual Mangaluru Kambala ended on the Goldfinch City Grounds in Bangra Kuloor on Sunday March 27.

A two-day event, the Kambala was inaugurated on Saturday March 26.

Rama Lakshmana Joodukare Kambala is headed by Captain Brijesh Chowta.

As many as 150 pairs of buffaloes took part in the event. Hagga Hiriya, Hagga Kiriya, Negilu Hiriya, Negilu Kiriya, Adda Halage and Kane Halage events were held.

The last two Kambalas of the season, Vijaya Vikrama Kambala will be held in Uppinangady on April 2, while the Surya Chandra Kambala will be held in Venur on April 9.
