Flesh trade at deserted house in Ullal; three held

Ullal: Three persons have been arrested by the Ullal police in connection with flesh trade here on Thursday. On reliable information that one woman and five men were involved in illegal activities in a deserted house, the police conducted the operation. Two persons managed to escape from the spot. One of the arrested assaulted a cop in a bid to escape.

New Uchila resident Rakesh(34) and Beeri resident Mohammad Siraj (30) and a 35 year old married woman from Asaigoli has been arrested by the police. Beeri resident Abbas and Jafar from Mukkacheri are absconding

The locals informed police that illegal activities have been carried out in a deserted house near Ullal railway station in Someshwar. Police led by Ullal SI Bharathi had raided the house. Two of the accused escaped from the spot.

Accused Rakesh also attempted to escape but constable Mahesh chased him down for ten minutes. Rakesh assaulted him, however, the inured cop succeeded in nabbing the accused and was admitted in a private hospital in Deralakatte.
