Mangaluru: In order to prevent cattle trafficking and cow slaughter, the State government should form ‘Gram Go Rakshana Dal’, said VHP provincial Goraksha Pramukh Kateel Dinesh Pai on Saturday, November 5.
Speaking to mediapersons at the VHP office, Pai said that cattle trafficking is rampant across the district. He further alleged that in spite of informing police about illegal slaughter and trafficking, they are not doing anything about it.
“The cattle thieves will stop thieving once ‘Gram Go Rakshana Dal’ is formed in every village. Our members will support them. If the government doesn’t oblige, we will form the dal in the next ten days,” he said.
VHP’s Dakshina Kannada district unit President Jagadish Shenava said that BJP will protest against Tipu Jayanti celebrations on November 7.
