Mangaluru: The police have arrested four persons who allegedly stole three cattles from a house at Bangrakuluru in the outskirts of the City.
The arrested have been identified as Mahmoud Saleem (32), Mohammed Tanjil (25), Mohammed Iqbal (23) and Mohammed Afrid (26), all natives of Ullal.
The four came in a Mahindra Scorpio jeep and lifted three cattles from cowshed by threatening the people there in with swords on the night of Thursday December 2. The cattle is owned by Umesh Marayasan and Udaya Shetty. The miscreants allegedly brandished swords and threatened Umesh and Uday Shetty when they tried to resist them.
Followed by a complaint by cattle owners, the police arrested the accused
within 24 hours of crime. The police also have recovered the swords and vehicle used for the crime.Kavaar police have registered a case and are investigating
