Mangaluru: State Health minister U T Khader on Saturday said that DV Sadananda Gowda, the then chief minister should have taken people of Dakshina Kannada into confidence before initiating the Yettinahole project.
Speaking to reporters in the city minister said that Gowda should have held discussions with the people of the district and the experts before going ahead with the crucial project.
“Now it is too late to oppose it. The project has already started. It is in God’s hands. We are committed to provide water to Kolar, where most of the lakes are dried up”, he added.
However he said that his government is committed to take forward the project which was prepared when H D Kumaraswamy was the chief minister and was approved during the tenure of Sadananda Gowda as CM.
