Mangaluru: University College has issued notice to students who are responsible for Hijab controversy, and also warns of suspension if they violate rules again.

The College has issued a notice to the girl students in connection with the Hijab controversy in the University College and the Principal of the College Dr. Anusuya has issued a notice for violating the discipline of the College and damaging the reputation of the College.

The girls had held a press conference on Saturday June 4 and thereafter the College has issued a notice soon as a first step, further giving a deadline of three days to reply to the notice failing of which further steps will be taken, the college has warned.

The notice states that student, Gausiya had held a press conference in connivance with outside forces and had made some statements against the Principal and the college, thus denting the reputation of the college by making such statements against the Principal. She has been asked why disciplinary action should not be initiated against her and other students for such behaviour and asked them to respond within 3 days. Notices have been issued to Hijab-clad student Gausiya and other girl students as a first step, and further they have been warned that they will be suspended from the College if they violate the rules hereafter.
