Mangaluru: A scooter rider died after being hit by a lorry in the afternoon of Thursday August 12 at Budoli, Vittal in Dakshina Kannada District.
The deceased has been identified as Ganesh Bangera (54), son of Manju Belchada of Parakaje, Kanyana near Vittal. He was moving towards Uppinangady on some personal work when a lorry coming from Uppinangady end at Budalu hit his two-wheeler. The witness informed that the rider came under the lorry.
Though locals immediately took him to a hospital nearby on an ambulance, the doctor at the hospital confirmed about his demise. Vittal Police Inspector Nagaraj H. has visited the spot and registered a case in this regard.
