Mangaluru: The Home Minister Araga Jnanedra has been requested to take steps to curtail anti-social elements and anti-social activities along the coast of Dakshina Kannada district.

There has been a planned ploy to create unrest in Dakshina Kannada District over the past few years. Keeping various reasons as backdrop, there has been an alleged attempt to attack Hindus, assault them, disturb their peace, spread religious fanaticism and terrorism, observed Bajrang Dal leader Sharan Pumpwell. It has been found to disrupt peace harmony, spread fanaticism and engage in terrorist activities.

The incident of humiliation by PFI and SDPI activists of freedom fighter Veer Savarkar by hindering Independence Day at Kabaka, the raid by National Investigation Agency alleging MLA late B. m. Idinabba’s family of terrorist links, cattle theft, smuggling and slaughter, conversion activities through Love Jihad, desecration of Hindu temples and idols, and insult of Hindu Gods on social media are some of the proofs for the same, he appraised the Minister and urged him to take stern action against the disturbers of peace.

A memorandum was submitted by Pumpwell in this regard, to the Home Minister, in which he requested the Minister to book a case of treason against the accused  in the Kabaka incident, to set up NIA office in Mangaluru to curtail terrorist activities, to form a law to stop conversion in the name of Love Jihad and to take appropriate action to stop blasphemy against Hindu Gods and organisations on social media.
