Ismail Nelyamajalu murder case: Three remanded to judicial custody

Sullia: Three accused in Ismail Nelyamajalu murder case have been remanded to judicial custody. Four others have been remanded to police custody.

Five accused were produced in the court on October 4 and the court decided to handover three accused namely Yakub Bejai, aged 58 , resident of Mangaluru, Farooq Bellare, aged 31 and Sohail Nandavara to judicial custody. The other two namely, Ummar Farooq, aged 32 and Rahiman alias Rahim aged 38 have been sent Police custody. The other two accused were sent to police custody a day earlier by the same court.

It may be recalled that Ismail Nelyamajalu was brutally murdered by the assailants when he came out of the mosque after prayers to board his Innova car on September 23. It is now learnt, property dispute led to his murder.Search team led by Puttur ASP Rishyanth nabbed the accused within 10 days after district SP Bhushan G. Borase formed three search teams to nab those involved.
