Mangaluru: It is no surprise that the BJP Government has come forward to demolish the temples. The culture of BJP is destruction. The party is adept at destruction of society to people’s sentiments, said Mangaluru MLA U. T. Khader.
Speaking to media persons on Wednesday September 15 he said that BJP leaders in State have been giving childish statements in this regard. How is it possible that an officer who is a government employee give an order and the ministers are not aware of it. If that is the case, let officers run the government, he added taking a jibe at the BJP leaders in the State.
Khader said that it is the Government which is not letting the people live peacefully and then shifts the blame to the court orders and orders of the officials concerned. This is the same Government that regularises land for big companies, but today are ready to demolish the religious establishments, he said and demanded the resignation of Mysuru In-Charge Minister. Further, he also claimed that Congress has not destroyed any religious establishment in the place of its administration.
MLA also expressed that it is not good to destroy religious establishments which is over 200 years old. He also took a jibe at the BJP’s paradox that it is the same people who order to destroy and bring a stay order against the same. They are playing with people’s sentiments, he added.
Khader said, “We had read in our history books that the foreign rulers destroyed our temples. But now BJP has resorted to the same. We should tell this to our generation next.”
