Mangaluru: Suniel Shetty and his son Ahan Shetty visited his home town Mangaluru on Sunday November 28 to promote Ahan’s role in the new Bollywood film “Tadap.”

Tadap’ is a romantic action drama film featuring Tara Sutaria and debutant Ahan Shetty. Milan Luthria directed the film, which was produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and Fox Star Studio.

Speaking to mediapersons in Tulu Suniel said, “Tadap has a strong storyline and will be released worldwide on December 3. For the past one week, Ahan has been promoting the picture. We had to delay the release for a year due to the pandemic.”

“”It’s good to be in Mangaluru and seeking God’s blessing. In Dharmastala, Subramanya, Bappanadu, and Durgaparameshwari, I keep coming back to seek God’s blessing. Before the film’s release, even Ahan wanted to visit Mangaluru to seek God’s blessings. It’s challenging to release a film right now because we’re still recovering from the pandemic. The narrative requires a large screen, we had to wait a year for its release. See how filmmaker Rohit Shetty used his film ‘Sooryavanshi’ to draw crowds to the theatre,” he said.

“”It took me 25 years to grasp a character, but Ahan has done a good job in the film in understanding his role, which is commendable. It’s great that our family is involved in the film industry. We enjoy and discuss our work which is a good,” he added.

Ahan said, “My dad has given me entire freedom in choosing the script, My entire focus is on my performance. He has always underlined the need of being a good human being first.”

Ahan stated that he has received good offers and is in talks with a number for upcoming projects.

Suniel Shetty joked when asked about the third chapter of the blockbuster comedy film ‘Hera Pheri’, “Now Akshay Kumar and I are old. It’s better for Ahan and Aarav (Akshay Kumar’s sons) to take over, with Paresh Rawal’s son playing junior Babu Rao.”
