Karkala : Noted poetess and columnist Jyothi Guruprasad of Karkala has been selected for the Endowment Award of the State unit of the Kannada Sahitya Parishat.
Jyothis column Joli Lali which appeared in Vartha Bharathi Kannada daily was quite popular. Her compilation of her column writings had also won her the International Year of the Woman Endowment Award 2012. She is also the recipient of Neelaganga Endowment Award, Niratha Sahitya Award and Ha. Ma. Nayaka Columnist Award.
Some of her published anthology of poems are Chukki, Varanandi Prathime and Mayapettige. Another of her popular column is Ee Kshana.
