Mangaluru: Muslims must peacefully hand over the Malali mosque land to Hindus to build a temple and a mosque can be built elsewhere, said RSS Chief Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat.
Speaking to mediapersons on Monday May 30 he said, “When the old mosque structure of the Assayid Abdulahil Madani Juma Masjid was being demolished, a wooden structure resembling a temple was discovered. Let us avoid violence and handover the land to Hindus in a peaceful manner, like we did in Ayodhya.”
He further said, “We are saddened that a Hindu temple was destroyed to build a mosque. Hindus fled the area during this time because they were scared. However, things have changed now. We are not against any community. We need to find a peaceful solution to this issue.”
“It is clear that there was a temple-like structure on the mosque land. SDPI, on the other hand, claims that the structure is of Arabian style and that they will not give the Hindus one inch of land. They should understand that we will not remain silent,” Bhat stressed.
