Mangaluru: The elections for the post of Presidents of Kannada Sahitya Parishat Central as well as Dakhina Kannada and Udupi District Kannada Sahitya Parishat will be held on Sunday November 21. The voters have rights to exercise their franchise to elect both Central and District Presidents. The voting will be held between 8.00 am and 4.00 pm.
The counting will begin at the polling both itself as soon as the voting ends. The names of the winners at the district level will be published after getting the details from Assistant Election Officers from the respective polling booths while the winner as the Central President will be sent to Central Electoral Office, Bengaluru for due announcement.
The candidates for Dakshina Kannada District President are Writer and Lecturer from Ujire M. P. Srinath, and Mangaluru Airport Former Director and Writer M. R. Vasudeva Rao.
The candidates for Udupi District President are erstwhile Udupi KSP President Neelavara Surendra Adiga, Udupi KSP Office-Bearers Dr. Subrahmanya Bhat, and K. S. Basri.
