Mangalore : Kudroli Sri Gokarnanatha Temple had a star guest on May 13, Monday. Renowned sandalwood star Shivarajkumar accompanied by his wife Geetha and actors Rajashekhar and Gurudutt visited the Temple and offered a special pooja to Lord Gokarnanatha and craved his blessings.
Earlier the actor was accorded a warm welcome to the temple by the Temple Board President Sairam, Raghavendra Bantwal,Harikrishna Bantwal and others.
ShivarajKumar who spoke to reporters on the occasion, said he was pleased to visit the shrine which was an architectural marvel. He said the Samadhi of his father Dr Rajkumar, the construction of which is complete, will soon be inaugurated.
The actor said he had the hope that the new government would strive for the welfare of the people. He also said the Kannada film industry hoped that veteran actor Ambarish would be inducted into the cabinet.
Shivarajkumar had earlier visited Kollur Sri Mookambika Temple and Shringeri Sri Sharada Peetha on May 12 Sunday. He has also visited Udupi Sri Krishna Temple.
