Karnataka: IMD predicts heavy rain for 5 days in DK, Udupi

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rain for Bengaluru and 12 other districts of Karnataka for two days starting from Monday.

Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada (DK) and Udupi’s Coastal districts were battered by heavy rains, affecting daily life in several parts of the region.

The region should expect severe rainfall for the next five days, informed the meteorological authority.

While heavy rain occurred on Wednesday November 2 in Sullia Nagar, Aranthodu, Bellare, Kalmadka, Jaluru, Sampaje, Kallugundi, Subrahmanya, and Kollamogru Kadaba, moderate to light rain fell in Mundaje, Belthangadi, Kalmanja, Dharmasthala, Ujire, Kadirudyavara, Puttur, Vittal, Balpa, and Ubaradka.

Drizzle and light rain have been reported in the Udupi District’s Brahmavar, Kundapur, and Byndoor.

A yellow alert has been issued for the districts of Bengaluru, Chamarajanagar, Kodagu, Kolar, Mandya, Mysuru, and Ramanagara.
