Mangaluru: The Karnataka Konkani Sahithya Academy has finally found a full-time registrar in Mohandas Kamath, who took charge of the office on Tuesday, December 1.
“It has been an old dream and demand of the Konkani speaking community to have a full-time registrar who can speak Konkani. This dream has been fulfilled with the appointment of Mohandas Kamath,” said Karnataka Konkani Sahithya Academy president.
He was speaking after welcoming Mohandas Kamath after he assumed charge as the academy’s full-time registrar at the Academy office.
The outgoing registrar, Kumar Babu Bekeri was felicitated during a brief programme at the office.
Academy members Arun Shet, Narasimha Kamath, and Canute J Pinto were also present.
