Mangalore: Pranavananda Swami, the National President of the Bharath Kranti Sena has announced a cash reward of Rs one lakh to the ANF personnel who had shot dead a cattle transported after mistaking him for a Naxal.
Speaking to reporters in the city on Wednesday April 23, he said the reward will be given on behalf of the Sena. He further said the government should hand over the announced compensation of Rs 5 lakhs to the family of the ANF personnel in case it was found that he had not erred.
Pranavananda also demanded the withdrawal of the compensation announced to the family of Kabeer and urged for the immediate arrest of the driver and other persons who were in the vehicle and are presently absconding.
He further urged that home minister KJ George must quit over the issue. He said the government which was doing injustice in the Mallikarjuna Bande death case and in farmer suicide cases was instead offering compensation to cattle traffickers and said such incidents demoralise the police force.
Basavaraja Swamiji, State President of Ramarajya Nirmala Parishat, Rajesh Poojara, President of Hindu Mahasabha, Rajesh Pavitran, Hindu Yuvaka Sabha District President, Pradeep Moodushedde,. District General Secretary of Sri Rama Sene and others were present.
