Mangaluru: Kudroli Jamia Masjid President K. S. Masood welcomes State Government’s decision of seeking permission to make loudspeakers mandatory. We have decided to bring in self-imposed ban on use of loudspeakers in mosques, he added.

He was speaking to mediapersons on Wednesday May 11 said that the administration has decided not to use loudspeakers during all the five times of azaan. The loudspeaker usage has been suspended from the early morning azaan starting Wednesday. We have taken this decision out of respect for the Supreme Court’s verdict. Azaan is important for almighty’s prayer not the microphone, he asserted.

In response to Pramod Muthalik’s move against azaan, the Muslim Central Committee Chairman K. S. Masood said, Muthalik is a terrorist, and he should be sent to Pakistan. Muthalik’s is not a Ram Sena but Ravana Sena. He was banned in Udupi District, while in Mangaluru, the Police Commissioner gets up from his chair and speaks to him. This is a condemnable matter. Welcome people opposing azaan offering cow’s milk, he added sarcastically.
