Launch of K. Ullas Kamath Centre for Family Managed Business on Feb 15 by Nitte

Mangaluru: Justice K. S Hegde Institute of Management will launch the K. Ullas Kamath Centre for Family Managed Business on February 15 at 3.00 pm in Hotel Ocean Pearls Mangaluru. The centre is officially launched by Vishal Hegde, Pro-Chancellor Nitte, Deemed to University and CA Ullas Kamath, Joint, MD Jyothy Laboratories Mumbai, in the presence of leaders of Family, Managed Business in Mangaluru.

The Family Managed Business Program will run under the stewardship of K. Ullas Kamath, who has spent more than 30 years building one of the highly professionalized family FMCG businesses in the industry today as the Joint Managing Director of Jyothy Labs. The program was launched to catalyse the continued prosperity of family-run micro, small and medium enterprises in India.

“With this Program, we would like to address issues like succession planning, conflict among family members etc through counselling, training and research,” said Dr A.P. Achar, CEO of AIC Nitte Incubation Centre.

K. Ullas Kamath Centre for Family Managed Business will work with micro, small and medium-size family businesses to provide them with the necessary tool kit to grow in stature in the years to come. This centre will form a part of Justice K. S. Hegde Institute of Management and its Director Dr. K. Sankaran will serve as the Program Director. K. Ullas Kamath will serve as the Program Chair for the Centre.

The program will begin with its first cohort in June of this year and registrations are open on the weblink provided. There will be 2-4 cohorts every year. The program will be exclusive, and cohorts will be well balanced to ensure maximum learning for its participants. The 4-day intensive one-of-a-kind residential program will be conducted on campus at Justice K. S. Hegde Institute of Management in NITTE and will feature prominent guest speakers and seasoned practitioners from the industry.
