Mangaluru: After ban on Muslim traders now Hindu Jagarana Vedike is demanding for using only Hindu autorickshaws in Mahalingeshwara Fair at Puttur.

The Hindu Jagarana Vedike started the movement by distributing Bhagavadwaja flags to autorickshaw drivers and they were asked to install it on top of the auto. They urged devotees to use those autos which have safforon flags.

They alleged that other community autorickshaw drivers create trouble for ladies during the fair. Hence they sought that Hindu autos must ride with these saffron flags between Sunday April 10 to Wednesday April 20.

It is time Hindus protect their ladies. The Government which came to power in the name of Hindus is now not supporting Hindus. It is booking case on Hindus. Hindu organisations never assault anyone. The organisations only take up work of protecting Hindu ladies. The inclusion of saffron flag is part of the protection of Hinduism, they added.
