Mangaluru: In order to find the truth behind Malali Dargah, the Hindu organisation, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) is all set to go in for ‘ashtamangala prashne.’
Recently, in the City outskirts, on the occasion of breaking down Asaiyyad Abdullah Madani Dargah to renovate the same, a Hindu temple style of engraving has been found. Now, there is an ongoing long debate whether it is a Hindu Temple or Dargah or Basadi, which began then. Immediately on finding the structure, Dakshina Kannada District Administration intervened and gave orders to stop the renovation work through Tahasildar. Even the Court has stayed the renovation works.
Against this backdrop the work of the present Dargah has been stopped and the inspection of original land records of the land where the Dargah is currently situated are being undertaken.
Meanwhile, VHP and Bajrang Dal argued that there was a temple on the site of the now Dargah and urged the government to conduct a search through the Archaeological Department. Now, the VHP has decided to undertake ‘ashtamangala prashne’ to know the details of the land but the date is not yet decided.
Now it is speculated that with VHP’s this decision all the confusion would be cleared as to whether it was a dargah or temple that stands in the location.
