Mangaluru: The Assistant Commissioner’s Court (AC’s Court) here one Monday June 20 has issued an order staying registration of Malali Mosque name under Column No. 11 in RTC.
In Column No. 9 of the RTC of the mosque site, the owner of the land has been mentioned as Government, while in Column No. 11, the name of the mosque was mentioned as the rightholders of the land. A petition was filed in the AC’s Court challenging this. Now, the AC court has issued stay order registration of Malali Mosque name under Column No. 11 in RTC.
The Third Additional Civil Court in Mangaluru is hearing a petition seeking a survey by the Court Commissioner in the wake of the discovery of temple-like structures during the renovation works of the mosque and the next hearing is scheduled to be held on Wednesday June 22.
