Reportedly the gang, travelling in a car had intercepted the victim, Yakub’s scooter and under the pretence of conducting a routine search flicked the Rs 2.25 Lakh that he had kept in his scooter. They also confiscated the mobile phones Yakub was having while asking him to return home. It was only on reaching home that Yakub realised that the money he had in his scooter had gone missing.
