Man killed in bike-truck collision in Puttur

Puttur: On October 10, a man was killed in an accident when a truck mowed down his bike.

The deceased has been identified as Azeez from Balnadu Pallikere, the owner of Golden Bakery in Puttur town.

According to the sources, a pedestrian, Abdul Khader, who witnessed the accident, has filed a police complaint. As per the complaint, Azeez was riding his bike towards his shop. At 8.00 am, a truck travelling from Puttur to Ujrupade slammed on him at Ullalti Complex in Balnadu. As a result, Azeez was knocked down and thrown under the truck’s wheels.

Doctors confirmed the victim’s death after he was rushed to the Puttur Government Hospital.

The truck driver, Sudhakar Shetty, was allegedly driving the truck recklessly.

Further investigation is on.
