Mangaluru: SDPI Dakshina Kannada District President Aboobacker Kulai has condemned the NIA raids on the houses and offices of SDPI and PFI leaders. He said, “it was a politically motivated attack and organised to put an end to the rise of our party as they could not tolerate it.”
Addressing a press conference, he said that since 3.30 am, they illegally barged into the party office and ransacked houses and took away documents. They did not have permission into enter our office, and it was an illegal raidm. They have not found anything other than a copy of the agreement of the building and they have taken away the file photo album of the programmes we have undertaken and the laptop, he said.
“PFI is a social service organisation and our party leaders who have been illegally detained should be released immediately or else we will hold protest across the State,” he said.
It was a politically motivated attack and the attack was organised to put an end to the rise of our party as they could not tolerate it. The BJP, which has not responded to the pain of the common man, has tried to hide the problems here by organising such attacks. Within the next twenty-four hours, you should release our detained leaders or else we will launch a state-wide agitation,” he warned.
State Committee Member Ataullah Jokatte and Jaleela Krishnapura among others were present.
